Artificial turf is tough, but it is not indestructible. Seams pull apart, dogs dig through edges, heavy furniture leaves wrinkles, and a bad original install eventually shows itself. Our turf repair service fixes these problems properly — re-stretching, re-seaming, and patching — so you get more years out of the turf you already paid for.

We repair turf across the Orlando area, from Maitland to Kissimmee and Longwood to St. Cloud. And we will tell you honestly when a repair is not worth it — sometimes replacement is the smarter money, and we would rather say so than sell you a patch that fails in six months.

Repairs We Handle

Why Turf Fails in Orlando

Heat. Florida sun expands and contracts turf daily. Installs that were not stretched and anchored correctly wrinkle as they move.

Storms. Heavy downpours expose every drainage shortcut. Water finds the low spots and lifts poorly glued seams.

Sandy soil. Orlando's sand shifts. A base that was not compacted properly settles unevenly, and the turf follows it down.

Pets. Big dogs are honest critics of weak edge work. Digging finds every shortcut the original installer took.

How a Repair Works, Step by Step

Step 1: Inspection

We walk the whole area — not just the spot you noticed — because turf problems travel. We find the cause, not just the symptom, and tell you whether repair or replacement makes more sense.

Step 2: Lift and prep

The damaged section is lifted. We fix what is underneath — re-grade settled base, replace failed seam tape, add anchoring.

Step 3: Re-stretch and re-seam

Turf is pulled tight, seams are re-glued with quality materials, and edges are re-secured. Patches are cut from matching turf where possible.

Step 4: Infill and blending

Infill goes back in and the area is brushed so the repair blends with the surrounding turf. Most repairs take a few hours to a full day.

What It Costs in Orlando

Most turf repairs run $200 to $800. A simple seam re-glue is at the low end; large patches, re-grading, and multi-spot repairs land higher. If the underlying base has failed across a wide area, we will quote replacement instead of stacking repairs that will not hold.

Honest note: every repair is different — these are starting ranges. The written quote after our inspection is the real number.

When Repair Is the Wrong Call

We turn down repairs when the turf itself is done — fibers worn flat across the whole yard, UV breakdown, or a base that has failed everywhere, not just in one spot. Patching a dying lawn is throwing money at it. In those cases we will show you why and quote a replacement instead. See our artificial turf replacement page for what that involves.

Keeping It Honest: The Downsides

Patches are rarely invisible — from a few feet away a good patch blends well, but up close you may see it, especially on older turf that has faded. Matching discontinued turf lines is sometimes impossible, and then the choice is the closest match or replacing the section. And a repair cannot fix a fundamentally bad install; it can only fix the spots.

What Drives Repair Pricing

Repairs are quoted per job, not per foot, because every repair is really two jobs: fixing the visible damage and fixing what caused it. A seam re-glue where the base is fine is quick and cheap. The same seam over a settled base means lifting turf, re-grading, re-compacting, and then re-seaming — triple the work.

Access matters too. A repair in an open backyard is fast. The same repair behind a locked gate, down a narrow side yard in Winter Park, or around a pool full of furniture takes longer. When we quote, we are quoting the real conditions, not a best case.

One more honest note: if we find three more failing seams while fixing the one you called about, we will tell you and quote the full fix. Fixing one seam on a failing install is a bandage. You deserve to know what you are actually buying.

Preventing the Next Repair

Most repairs we do trace back to the original install. If your turf is otherwise healthy, a few habits extend its life:

How Fast Can You Get a Repair Done?

Most repairs are scheduled within a week, and simple seam or edge fixes are often done the same week you call. Emergency situations — a trip hazard before a party, a dug-up edge with a dog escaping — tell us and we will prioritize it. The repair itself usually takes a few hours to a full day depending on what we find underneath. One tip: do not let a failing seam wait through storm season. Every downpour works water under the loose edge and turns a small fix into a bigger one.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can a split seam be fixed, or does the turf need replacing?

Split seams can almost always be fixed. We cut back the failed seam, re-stretch the turf, and re-glue it properly. Replacement is only needed when the turf fibers themselves are worn out or the base has failed across the whole area.

How long does a turf repair last?

A proper repair — re-stretched, re-glued with quality materials, base fixed underneath — lasts for years. A quick glue-only patch over a failed base will fail again, which is why we fix the cause, not just the symptom.

Can you fix pet damage to turf?

Yes. Dug edges get re-anchored, chewed or worn spots get patched, and we can reinforce areas where a determined dog keeps working. For heavy chewers we will be honest about whether the turf line itself is tough enough.

Will the patch match my existing turf?

Usually close, but rarely perfect. Turf fades over time, so new patch material looks slightly fresher than turf that has sat in Florida sun for years. From a normal viewing distance a good patch blends well.

My turf is wrinkling everywhere. Can you fix it?

Wrinkles across the whole yard usually mean the base was never compacted or the turf was never stretched — an install problem, not a spot problem. We can sometimes re-stretch sections, but widespread wrinkling often means replacement is the honest answer. We will inspect and tell you straight.
